The Sandy River is a National Wild and Scenic River that trickles down from it's headwaters on Mount Hood to the Columbia River near Gresham. The stretch from Dodge Park to Oxbow is a mellow class II float with some great fishing opportunities year round.
Trip Highlights
Mile 0: Put in just below the Revenue Bridge. You will quickly come upon Pipeline Rapid (II).
Mile 2.4: Chinquapin Bluffs Rapid (II) is a big sweeping left hand turn.
Mile 6.7: Take out at Oxbow Park. There is a day use fee to park at Oxbow park. You can also continue 6 miles downstream to Dabney Park.
