New Gear Coming in 2021
Well 2020 is coming to an end. So that means new year and new gear! Here is just a quick look at some of the news gear you will see on the river is the coming year.

If you were to combine a palm less sun glove and a cold weather poggie you get Immersion Research's new Shitten. This is an excellent, less bulky, and pretty warm option to keeping your hands toasty while still getting that paddle/oar feel you cant get from other gloves or mitten. Keep your eyes open though, we may not see these until later winter/early spring.

Hyside BattleCat 12.0
The Shredder started a craze that has taken some time to reach all the way to the west coast. However "paddle cats" are becoming pretty common on rivers from coast to coast. Hysides new BattleCat 12.0 is one of the latest offerings. A little shorter, more kick, and more width, the BattleCat 12.0 is just a little different compared to their PaddleCat. Still perfect for 2 paddlers to chase their whitewater dreams.

Tributary Tater
The Tater will join the AIRE/Tributary inflatable kayak lineup for 2021. If you loved the SPUD but wanted a little more boat this could be for you. Looks like it could be a good, maybe a bit heavy, entry level packraft as well. Also check out their new cranberry color option for the SPUD.

NRS Varial Sun Hoody
Sun hoodies have become a go-to river shirt. Light weight, full sleeve and a hood protect you from the sun all day. NRS is moving their sun hoody line to 100% recycled poly-spandex blend. They hope to continue moving toward recycled materials for much of their softs goods.

While not a new piece of gear but it is the best hand wash system out there. Having a solid hand wash system helps make trip sanitation easy for everyone. Everything fits into a bucket and is easy to set up. Just don't forget the soap.

With restrictions on travel and group sizes learning new skills can be a bit difficult. There are tons of new classes to learn a wide range of skills. Now whitewater rowing is an option. Check out Whitewater Education for all of your learn to row needs.
