Good afternoon and thank you for your inquiry on rafting the Cowlitz River, in the Packwood area. In regard to starting your rafting from La Wis Wis Campground, the campground is closed for the summer due to construction. Also, from my understanding from comments on Facebook about floating the Cowlitz River, in the Packwood area, it is an unsafe river to raft.
Not sure if FB is the best source, but this is all I have heard so far.
Any additional advice is appreciated!
