    Hello! I am planning a camping trip near Packwood, WA and wanted to take my 14′ Aire for a spin on the Cowlitz River. Does anyone know the condition of the river from La Wis Wis to Packwood? I have looked on other sites and have contacted the Packwood Chamber of Commerce with little luck. Any advice for the area would be great too! Appreciate it. Float on.

    Good afternoon and thank you for your inquiry on rafting the Cowlitz River, in the Packwood area. In regard to starting your rafting from La Wis Wis Campground, the campground is closed for the summer due to construction. Also, from my understanding from comments on Facebook about floating the Cowlitz River, in the Packwood area, it is an unsafe river to raft.

    Not sure if FB is the best source, but this is all I have heard so far.

    Any additional advice is appreciated!
