Pro Tips: Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas
The holidays are here, you need an extra gift or two for someone, and you only have a few days left. Here is a list of some awesome gear any outdoor aficionado will love that many outdoor shops will have in stock.
Therm-A-Rest Compressible Pillow
I have been using an older version of the large compressible pillow on raft, kayak, and backpacking trips for years. It packs down small, doesn't weight much, and is really comfortable. Recently I got the small version to try as an alternative to the U shaped neck pillows for travel. Worked great for a 12 hour flight and packs down nice and small. Many may find it too small for a nights sleep but its better than a stuff sack of dirty clothes.

It's hard to beat ice cold water on a hot river day. Same goes for a hot beverage on an icy cold river day. Give the gift of a nice insulated bottle. There are so many $20-50 head lamp options out there that are great options for all activities. Personally I like ones that are rechargeable so I don't have to carry extra batteries, just don't forget to charge it.
