Planning river flows is part sorcerery part science. I have a crew planning to head up from Reno and we wanted to run this fickle river. We have ideally wanted to do it from the comfort of rafts, but it might be more feasible if we use kayaks- expedition style.
Does anybody have a better than educated guess if the Illinois will have enough high elevation snowmelt to run around Memorial Day weekend?
I realize the best predictions can be ruined by a hot couple of days, but the outlook from here looks promising.
